Does this sound less like a fairy tale and more like your reality?! I totally get it! With so many responsibilities, duties, tasks, and people who depend on us, we are kept so busy that it’s no wonder why we don’t make time for ourselves!
This week I felt it was important to tell you to STOP! And start detoxing your mind. As your friend, I feel it is essential for me to encourage, no, I insist that you take some YOU TIME for your personal dev work. Life is always going to be busy, and there will always be another client demanding your time, a boss asking you to work late, a PTA meeting, fundraiser, kid camp, or car issue. THIS IS LIFE!! And it’s NO EXCUSE!
Neglecting your mental garden is only going to cause you more issues in the long run when you are broken down, overwhelmed, anxious, or burnt out. This is why it is essential and I insist that you begin thinking about taking a few minutes a day to take care of you.
Having a healthy habit of personal development in your life doesn’t require hours, weeks or even days of your time. You can build a healthy habit with just a few minutes. Yep! That’s it!
